“Maps of the world and non-objective painting are both abstractions I have a keen interest in. For the prints I did at Hamilton Press I combined those two forms by colliding them together, added a political implication using red, white and blue and gave them a family resemblance by bit-mapping all the elements. What you get is continents that look like paint splashes and paint splashes that look like continents.” – Scott Grieger
